NO CHANGE IN BOTTOM THREE

Accra Great Olympics won only their second game of the season but they remain rooted to the bottom of the Onetouch Premier League log.

The Dade Boys beat Sekondi Hasaacas by 2-1 at the Ohene Djan Stadium with goals by Francis Mantey and substitute Nii Adjei in coach Joe De Graft’s first game in charge. Charles Nartey scored Hasaacas’ consolation.

Both sides remain in the bottom three in what is already developing into an intriguing relegation race.

The three points for Great Olympics leaves them just a point behind Hasaacas who now have ten points.

The other side in the bottom 3, Zaytuna was held to a 1-1 draw at the El-Wak Stadium by Kessben FC.

There was also no change in the top 4 after AshantiGold and Liberty Professionals all won. Liberty beat Wa All Stars on the road by a lone goal to stay third on the standings and close the gap on between themselves and Heart of Lions to four points. Lions went down by a 0-2 scoreline to Berekum Arsenals at the Golden City Park in Berekum.

AshantiGold stayed fourth with the biggest win of the weekend, a 4-0 thrashing of Gamba All Blacks at the Len Clay Stadium. A brace from Alex Asamoah and another from Emmanuel Adjety on the back of Nathaniel Quaye’s first half striker helped the Miners to yet another win on home soil to keep them level on points with Liberty Professionals.
